Works great - the perfect trimmer for 2012

I've had this product for a few months now and have had some very interesting experiences with it. I've read all of the reviews some of which sing praises and others which seem to condemn the product. This is a VERY good product...I mean you can't really get any better than this.

In terms of cuts, dings, gashes, etc, it is definitely possible but more so from not paying attention, taking your time and planning what you're going to do (think about it - do you think your barber just hacks away?? Consider his approach...meticulous, deliberate, extended). Have you gotten a little ding from the barber? You should have the same expectations here.

However there are a few things to consider early which for me I believe are essential:

1) If you are not accustomed to shaving/trimming and venturing in this area for the first time, then:
a) Talk to a woman (someone you trust); they've been doing this for years (think about it) ask for advice for your particular situation
b) Make sure you clean up first. That is, take a shower and really clean your self
c) Start slow...if you have a lot of hair then put the trimmer to the number one position and start from there then gradually move down to number four
d) Once trimmed, leave it there and get accustomed to it and when I say accustomed I mean your skin. Having all that hair gone changes the 'climate' (think about it)
e) Once you are accustomed and want to go further (shave)...repeat steps a and b. Use the shaver and follow the directions that came with the manual and advice from your woman friend.
2) If you are accustomed to shaving/trimming then you should appreciate this product for helping to make the process quick(er) and hopefully painless

What I like most about this product is the battery life. I charged it 2½ months ago and its still going. I also liked the weight, seemed sturdy (go figure). I also liked the design which in my opinion helped me to 'reach' (at this point let me re-iterate, make sure you clean yourself properly).

For the new ones getting into trimming and more so shaving please PLEASE PLEASE:
- clean yourself well
- go in one direction (for now)
- take your time (go in stages)
