FANTASTIC VACUUM

I recieved my Shark Navigator Lift-away this afternoon and after getting it together, I vacuumed a small portion of my living room which I just vacuumed over the weekend with my old Hoover Self Proplled upright. The Hoover, I thought, was doing a great job of cleaning. Again, thats what I thought. But when I went over the same area I was amazed at the dust and dog and cat hair that was in the container. I have a dog and a cat and they both shed like crazy and I thought I had picked up most of the hair a few days ago. What was in the vacuum amazed me. In just a small portion of the living room, the canister was almost full. I have yet to vacuum the entire living room and hallway but I know when I do it will be a lot cleaner than it has been in a long time, thanks to the Shark Navigator. I almost was going to buy a Hoover Wind Tunnel, in fact I did put an order in for it. But then I saw a commercial for the Shark Navigator and went online to check it all out. I am sure glad that I did and right away I canceled the order for the Hoover and put the order in for the Shark Navigator. I put the order in on Monday monring and Tuesday afternoon the vacuum was delivered to me by way of UPS. Fast service from Amazon and fast service from the shipping company.
The only thing I am not happy about is the narrow wheel base. If it was another eight inches wider the Navigator would be even more fantastic.
I received the vacuum today. I unpackaged the parts and put it all together. Took less than 5 minutes before I was vacuuming. My small 12' by 12' living room looks clean and was vacuumed regularly with a $80 Eureka. I had to empty the canister three times before I finished! I was surprised by the amount of dirt this thing managed to pull up. It works great on pet hair too. If I have any trouble out of the vacuum within the next few months, Ill be sure to re-edit the review. Highly Recommended!

When I was researching a vacuum purchase, I was deciding between this model and a Dyson. With the results I seen today, the answer is clearly to purchase this vacuum. You can easily save $300 by purchasing this model and get the same results. I was skeptical of the Shark brand at first, but vacuum review sites and personal reviews clearly showed this model could compete with higher end vacuums such as Dyson.

-Shark offers a 5 year warranty, the same as Dyson.
-This model does "swivel", which is about the same as the ball on the Dyson.
-This model I believe has a HEPA filter, which is not true with other Shark vacuums.
-The cord is very long, which is good considering the odd places where my outlets are.
-You can lift the main unit from the floor unit and its considered a mini-vac. Haven't tried this it.
-Weighs 12 lbs.
-The suction power is wonderful. The unit claims to have "No Loss of Suction".. so we will see in the long run!
