Works as advertised; great price

I was looking for a portable air compressor mainly for sports balls (soccer, basketball, etc.) and stumbled upon this unit. It also does inflatable beds, car tires, etc. The unit is not any louder than a standard air compressor, and is not that heavy to carry around. It comes with a number of accessories. I would strongly recommend this for anyone coaching sports or uses air mattresses or anything that needs air for that matter. Well worth the price. This is a great product....very convenient to use. It's great having it sitting in the garage ready to go to pump up bike tires or top up the tires on the car. It's great having the fittings for pumping up balls and such. I haven't use the low pressure side yet, but it's nice to have available. It is a bit of an inconvenience to reset gauge when you switch from one pressure to another, but this is a VERY minor tradeoff for the overall convenience. If I had reviewed this in the first few months after I purchased it, I would have given it 5 stars - it worked as advertised. It was convenient, and filled my tires quickly. I could even use it in the dark because it was so simple to use and it has a lighted display. But now, about 10 months later, I am getting a flashing "ERR" message when I try to use it, and no matter what I have tried, I cannot get it to work. I will update this after I see how B&D handles this problem.

UPDATE: B&D sent me a new unit, and they were very reasonable about it. I got it within 3 weeks (they were out of stock so it took longer than usual) and the new one works great. Of course, I said the same thing about my first one for the first 10 months, so I won't know until this time next year if this one is any better. I have upgraded my rating to 3 because the B&D folks were very helpful. I was skeptical about purchasing this pump for use during Autocross, Track Days, and High Performance Driving Events (HPDE), so I figured I would just give it a try anyhow, it's only $60! This little pump rocks! I fully charged it and then pumped up 14 tires that were anywhere from 1psi to 10psi low over a 2 week period and it worked just fine. I then pumped 2 fully deflated 26"x2.25" mountain bike tires to 40psi and the pump was still holding strong. I then pumped up 4 more tires by 6psi each before this little thing went dead, 3 weeks later.

This past weekend myself and 3 others used the pump over 2 days at an Autocross, including pumping up my tires before the event both days by 6psi and it kept strong all weekend. I would say it probably saw around 24 tires over 2 days it was still chugging along. I highly recommend this pump for any outdoor enthusiast.

The only negatives that I experienced is that the pressure gauge tends to be a bit inaccurate from different tire sizes. On my car it reads perfectly compared to a Longacre tire gauge, but on other cars it reads completely different (although it reads the same on all 4, just not from car to car). This is not that big of a deal, but it could function better. Also, as many have stated the remaining battery life indicator is pretty much useless. It either reads full charge, 2/3 charge, or dying.
