Broken Leg; dietary supplement, DELICIOUS.

Back in December I broke my fibula, in turn I've been laid up for over a month and I was searching for a dietary drink that would stave my hunger without a lot of sugar. I read a lot of reviews on a few products and I decided for the flavor/nutritional value of this product - it was the way to go. I've had the product for four days now, and I haven't gained any weight(considering I'm inactive) and I don't have as much of an urge to snack. This flavor goes really well with water, soy milk or 1%/skim milk. BANGIN! This is a great product in my opinion. Muscle Milk is my favorite protein shake out of the many that I have tried. It mixes ok and tastes great in both milk and water. I would suggest using it as a midmorning snack or before bed as I have got the best results from using it in this way. The Vanilla Creme flavor tastes great which is a plus. Put aside any doubts that this product is filled with fluff. I drink this on a regular before, during and after my workouts and it certainly tastes better than mostly any other muscle building protein drink out their and in addition it helps when it comes to my muscles being sore. I believe it provides nutrients that repair muscle fibers after a vigorous workot session. I normally have just one a day but you can have up to 3 a day and it actually tells you to drink 3 a day. (one hour before, during and up to an hour after your daily workout. Although I would also advise only using this if you are doing push-ups, pull-ups, curls and leg exercises (squats) or any exercise involving weights. Don't use with cardio-workouts unless you have also done any of the previous exercises mentioned. I am not an expert but I figured that since this will build muscle that a cardio workout (designed usually to get blood working and burn fat) is not an workout you need this with. But again that is my opinion which is not professional. In any case, this product works great (or seems to work great). I have used this for 2 months so far. I highly recommend this protein for those that want to build lean muscle. I've been using it for almost 6 months now and I've gained a large amount of muscle mass while keeping myself lean through daily cardio workouts. Its qualities span the entire spectrum of what a post-workout protein shake should have. In terms of the type of protein this product has, it has high quality whey protein, which synthesizes quickly and gets to work rebuilding the torn muscles present after workouts. Aside from the obvious protein content, it also supplies you with L-Glutamine, an amino acid used by the body's immune system and, more importantly, an amino acid used to burn fat instead of muscle when it comes time to generate energy. It also has a nice combination of sugars and simple carbohydrates that help your muscles and body recover after intense workouts. On top of everything else, it also tastes fantastic - I've had alot of disgusting proteins over the course of my training and I have to say that this has got to be the best tasting protein shake I've ever had. I stick to the Vanilla Creme flavor, but the chocolate flavor tastes good too. I do caution potential users that this particular protein does have some fats (although they claim these burn rather than get stored) and alot of carbs, so limit the number of daily scoops to one or two a day if you intend to stay lean.
