So far so good Kreg K4MS Jig Master System sale 2012

I watched some of the videos, and the only concern I have now is the building materials, because the angles need to be very precise. I guess that would be true no matter what tools I use, but I'm not sure whether I should get a disk sanding station like this; [...] that would allow me to buy sheets of material, or even if I buy 12" wide stock, is this something advisable, or even required when I can't find perfectly square materials?

The videos have me concerned how dependent I am on having precise shapes. I want to be realistic in knowing what materials to purchase and how much precision I can count on achieving in my finished projects. After I make the bookshelves and similar products, I want to build some speaker cabinets for home theater and electric guitar. I'm actually thinking that I will use the dovetail joints for the most visible seams and then use Kreg joints for a few seams that will allow dis-assembly. I'll keep lots of notes and update this review.

Before I get started, I wonder if anyone has suggestions on a budget drill, and whether I should get a circular saw with a disksanding station, like the URL above, or should I try to get a certain kind of building materials as the video suggests? A table saw might be possible, but I live in a modest size apartment, and the work will need to be done on my balcony. That reminds me about the vacuum connections, I didn't see how that works yet, though maybe that is not needed for the Kreg system, I guess that is separate, and dependent on how I cut my materials. I bought a 6-gallon shop-vac for dust collection, so the drill, circular saw and disk sanding station I think are all that I need. I have a jig saw, an RZ10 RotoZip, a Dremel, and a small sheetsander. I also have a small compressor and I'm thinking of getting a 10-gallon tank. I probably need a rubber hammer too, but any suggestions would be really appreciated.

I like the tool's core functions, but the carrying case actually ticks me off. I would like to save time and not completely disassemble the jig, but I must do so to make it fit. Additionally, I have an older jig that fits perfectly in its case. However, the K4 will not fit in the old case. The new case is just an empty space where everything is just thrown in there. When the drill bits are worth $18, and having a sharp bit is a must for this system to work, this is the absolute worst option that Kreg could have provided. Granted, it's economical, but makes me think again about the value of their other products, such as the bead jig, in which the middle rails and stiles have to have a precise fixed width, with no ability to adapt other furniture designs. I'm looking for a way to fit this tool into a Festool Systainer. Then, maybe I'd be a bit more satisfied with this tool set, other than they provided a terrible solution to begin with.
