Trialed many, Stuck with this

Well, after using only Huggies for over 18 months, I finally decided to switch to Pampers and see the difference. I must say, I'm very impressed by the softness of the Pampers. That's really the only thing they have going for them. Other than than they are a bit wide in the between the legs area and are too perfumed! They also tend to bulge more than Huggies when wet. Huggies used something special to soak up more fluid, however, when it gets too wet, the top layer of the diaper kind of breaks, and little particles (granules) get stuck to the skin. Summer time it was happening every day, because my daughter was sweating too. Also, since they are not as soft, it's kind of itching her skin on the elastic part. So I'd say, if your kid's skin is not sensitive to the parfumes, it's worth it coughing up a few extra bucks for the soft Pampers. She's size 4 by the way. When she was NB and I tried both brands, I definately like Huggies Little Snugglers better! Once the size is big enough not to wear little snugglers anymore, I should have switched her right over to Pampers! I gave it 4 stars because it's wider & more perfumed. This Pampers diaper is what we have used for most of the past 11 months. Initially, we used regular Pampers swaddlers, but our son's skin was determined to be very sensitive. This is not suprising with his super fair skin and light blonde hair. I attempted other diapers, deciding it must be the DryMax feature of the regular Pampers that didn't work for us. No luck with Huggies newborn diapers either. I bought the Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive and loved them for these reasons:
-I did not smell urine the second he went (always did with Huggies)
-Did not break out his skin in red, raised bumps (all others have)
-Extremely soft to the touch
-White, natural look
-Wetness indicator (I appreciated this more when he was younger.)

There are 2 cons I will point out. One is that this type of diaper only goes to a size 4, which we are exhausting right now. I am a little panicky as to what we will do when he grows out of those. Occasionally I borrow a friend's type of diaper to see if he has grown out of his very sensitive skin and it never fails to cause a red, bumpy rash. I have tried Pampers Cruisers and Baby Dry (Does not contain DryMax)... both caused a rash. The second con would be that I wish as the Sensitive got into bigger sizes for those babies that are more mobile, crawling and crusing, the shape was a little different (like the Pampers cruisers). The diaper tends to start looking like a bikini after he's played for awhile. I would take away 1/2 a star for these reasons, but not a whole one because these were the only diapers that actually worked for us!
