It's a wonderful product!

I have been using this faucet for 7 month now, I still love it as much as day one. Even though we are not really handy people, my husband and I installed this ourselves in less than an hour by just following the instructions. It was really easy, we succeeded on the first try.

The faucet works great! We are still on the original batteries, so far, no sign of needing to change them. And I am happy to report that no human nor cat was electrocuted, as some feared (it's on battery not live wire!!). Nor did the water got accidentally turned on while we were away on vacation, overflow the sink, ruin the floor, and drown the cat, etc, as some skeptics predicted. `

Seriously speaking, it really doesn't accidentally turn on or off as some may fear. They really did a great job designing this thing to anticipate the natural human intuition. It was designed so that just the right duration of touch will turn it on/off, not too long or too short. However, we didn't have to learn how to touch the faucet to turn it on or off. What we do naturally just works. We had a party shortly after we got this faucet, and several of the guests also tried the faucet. Everyone was able to touch the faucet on and off effortlessly except one. But it so happens that person does not do dishes normally.

Since you can use any part of your body (finger, arm, even forehead) to turn on/off the faucet, the handle and faucet stay clean. Also, once you set the volume and temperature to your typical desired levels, you don't need to adjust it everytime you turn it on. This can be really helpful in water conservation, since with the old fashion faucet, I tent to turn the water flow too high and end up wasting water. Now, I just need to set the flow rate to an earth-friendly rate, once, and don't have to think about it againt.

Also, you don't need to stand right in front of the sink just to have a quick rinse of one of your hand, you can be on either side of the sink and just stretch your arm out, tap and rinse.

Another thing I like to comment on is the soap dispenser. This is the first time we have a build-in soap dispenser, we really love it. I think we cut down the usage of dish soap by 75%. When using soap dish bottle, we tend to squeeze out a lot more than it was needed. Now, the bottle of soap we started with 7 months ago still have about 1/3 left (we are a small family). I highly recommend the build-in dispenser. Of course, this is true for all build-in dispensers not just Pilar's. Pilar soap dispenser is a plastic one, but it works just fine.I purchased this faucet as part of a kitchen remodel. My contractor used his sub for the plumbing work. I came home to the faucet installed, looked great. However, when touching the faucet (gooseneck) the water did not come on. When I touched the Hot/Cold wand, it did. I called the contractor who told me he and the plumber "were there for 1.5 hours" trying to figure it out. He said the installation was correct, that his plumber had "installed about 50 of these same faucets". So his diagnosis was a DEFECTIVE FAUCET and his plumber would come back, remove it, and then I send it back to Amazon for replacement. I thought wow...what a hassle.
