Swaddlers 1 and 2 great, 3 and 4 not so much.

We have used swaddlers sensitive since day one, they have been absolutely great until size 3 and 4. We have used other brands that were given as gifts, huggies, luvs, etc. We pretty much used those brands during the day, otherwise we had a mess in the mornings.
My concerns started back in november.
We got our shipment of diapers, size 3 and as soon as we started this fresh box, he had a really bad 'rash'. Our son who has NEVER had a diaper rash. I am talking his butt became RAW, pitted, almost bleeding. After a couple days thinking it was something he ate, since he had started eating the food we eat we noticed the diapers had changed. The size 3 before this box did not have the indicator, but these did. Since this 'rash' was healing and did not last more than a week, we finished out the box. The next shipment came without the wetness indicator, and all was well for the entire box.
Since we ran out before our shipment I bought some pampers cruisers to get us through.
The shipment next shipment arrived only a few days into the pampers cruisers, end of january. We stopped using the cruisers to save those for when we run low and switched to our normal diapers. No sooner did we do that and my son, once again had a horrible rash, not quite as bad, but close. We decided to use the pampers crusiers for during the day and the swaddlers at night. Once again it cleared up again after a little less than a week, so we figured, must have been something he ate.

This last shipment we got at the beginning of March here was size 4. Well, it was going well until now. We are almost to the end of our size 4 WITH the WETNESS indicator, and the diaper rash monster has struck again, and this time I am not blaming it on food. It is not as bad as the first or second, but third time is a charm to get me to try something else.

SO, we are switching to the pampers cruisers, since they seemed to work well. Just concerned that these diapers had possibly been giving my son a chemical burn rather than what we think is diaper rash. Not sure if they are using a different product to make the larger diapers but the swaddlers in the beginning were fantastic and I would definitely use them again, however I will be steering clear of sizes 3 and 4.We have happily been using Pampers Swaddler Sensitive since my son was born 8 months ago. We LOVE the yellow line that turns blue when he's wet. It helped us change him in a timely manner and there was no need to guess, sniff, or feel around. We just received size 4 and the line is gone. What happened? We were willing to pay more for this feature, but now going to a cheaper product. Very disappointed!
