Not worth the price, not what you would expect

I loved the idea of a high end faucet that you could use any body part to turn on or off. Unfortunately if you are a person prone to static electricity (or a battery killer) this is Not the faucet for you.
Installation ourselves took a whole afternoon. We followed the directions and while easy enough to follow, the area you get to work with if this is not new construction can be a challenge. Several times husband had to let me in because I have smaller hands, although he isn't a big guy.
After 6 months we turned off the Touch 2-0. It would go on or off at the worst times, we no longer had to touch it, just holding a pot of water under the faucet was close enough to trigger it off when we needed it on, or if you were trying to wash dishes and move the goose-neck out of the way, you lost or got the water depending on its last state.

I still love the looks and the function of the "regular" faucet without the fancy on/off thing and would buy this style but not this product again. The long curving neck makes pot filling or dish washing easy, while looking very high end and chic -for a kitchen sink faucet. The pull-out sprayer is very handy for my double deep sink and to water the plants behind the sink on the garden window. The pull-out sprayer has 2 settings, spray or solid flow. There is not enough extension to take it out of the sink to fill a pot not sitting IN the sink, like right next to the counter. That part is disappointing because we'd like to refill our Brita without having to put it in the sink.

We bought the model with the soap dispenser, but discovered removing the dispenser to fill it up would be a royal pain in the tight area under the sink and just use surface soaps now.I have to admit, I've been sort of enthralled with this product since the first time I saw it. We had a dinner party and one of our guests broke our old kitchen faucet - providing us with the excuse we needed to get this nifty thing.

We lucked out and found it on CLEARANCE at our local Lowes. $100 off retail and a slightly damaged box. Too good to pass up.

The OOBE is a little daunting. Lots of pieces, a decent sized instruction sheet (yes guys, you will need it) and wires. Oh the wires. A not so saavy do-it-yourselfer might feel a bit overwhelmed. Crack a beer, take a breath and make sure you don't have anything pressing for the next two hours.

If you stick to the instructions and have the proper tools on hand (philips screw driver, channel lock plyers) installation is a cinch.

There are a few 1 and 2 star reviews out there that attempt to give this product a bad rap. I experienced some of their problems too, but came up with minor tweaks:

"It makes a loud thunk when you tap it on and off." - Yes, if you have the faucet on full blast. Make sure your handle is set to about 40% with the temp 50/50 hot/cold. If you have cake batter, mud, muck, etc on your hands, you don't need much more than that.
