Nice unit, and a fun gadget

We like our Delta faucet. The fit and finish is high quality, and the cool factor is off the charts.

We had a kitchen remodel going at the time, so we had the plumber install it (for $140!!!) but any handy person could put it in. I looked over the instructions (which are quite good, and available on-line @ Delta if you'd like to see ahead of time) and found it no more difficult than previous units I've installed.

The touch feature is cool and we use it every day without any problems. I like having the added security of knowing that when the faucet control valve is closed that the faucet will not turn on by touch. It means you have to plan ahead if you want to use the touch feature, but it's the only practical way to implement it. Set your temp and water level, and then just touch the handle or faucet anywhere to turn off and on. This feature is thoughtfully implemented.

The retractable sprayer is very nice, and we specifically bought this faucet for the magnetic coupling that holds it in place. If you've ever had one of these faucets with the sprayer built into the spout, you know they tend to "droop" over time. Not with the positive magnetic connection.

I have only one small issue in that the angle of the spray from the spout is not quite vertical. The stream coming from the faucet shoots near the front of our sink, instead of in the center. I know this will depend on where you install it, and what kind of sink you have. Something to consider if your sink is extra small front to back.
It works exactly as Delta describes. It seems to know what you want it to do and that's what it does. The spout doesn't respond quite as fast as the handle, as the spout is waiting to make sure you are not moving it (aka, a longer touch, in which case it doesn't turn on/off.) It's been installed for a couple weeks and I haven't had any or the problems some reviewers indicated.

The faucet if beautiful and came well packaged by Amazon. It feels very high quality. Several reviewers indicated that's it's a little daunting to open the box full of parts. I agree that is't pretty many parts, but as long as you follow the directions it's no harder than any other faucet install. The directions are very clear to make sure the wires are not tangled...follow that direction! I had a couple twisted and that was enough to make it work a little crazy. I untangled them and all it perfect now.

One thing to keep in mind...it's a solenoid to turn it on/off. As such it turns on and off very fast leading to a certain amount of water hammer noise. I suppose this is largely dependent on each setup. I added a water hammer arrestor to each supply line and the problem went away.
