Comes close to a blade shave Panasonic ES8103S

This is my 4th Panasonic razor and I think they're great, mainly because the motor is just stronger than what I've experienced in other electrics. The Panasonic 13,000 RPM motor cuts right through with no grabbing or tugging, whereas my last Braun would freeze up because it wasn't powerful enough. The shave is close and comfortable too and of course you can use it wet, even in the shower if you want.

Don't get a Panasonic with the cheaper 10,000 RPM motor. And don't get the docking/charging/cleaning stations that are a waste and force you to buy supplies you don't need. This is very easy to clean and it says when it needs charging, which takes less than an hour. One charge lasts me over a week.

The only reason I've had four of these is that I'll replace the blades once after about 18 months or so, but then 18 months later I'll just buy a new one if it's a good price. This one's about half as loud and heavy as one from a few years ago. The only complaint is that the charging indicator isn't very accurate. When it says 10% there's still probably over 25% of a charge remaining. But still, highly recommended. Eat your heart out, Amazon shoppers - I snagged this on a lightning special for fifty-eight dollars and what a deal it was! Beats my older Norelco electric and gives very nearly as close a cut as a blade razor. It's really nifty to see the exact percentage of charge left using the little LED indicator. The charge went down ten percent from one shave, so expect to get at least a week's worth of shaving from it.

Holds well in the hand and the small amount of swivel is useful in covering all areas of the face. It's a well thought-out design, to be sure.

The flip-out trimmer does a better job than my old Norelco also. I'd say this is an advancement in electric razor technology. I might not be able to say it shaves faster, but it does shave closer without any skin irritation.

I should have ordered two - one for home and one for travel. Oh, well. For years I was a Norelco guy, but now I've seen the light, and it is Panasonic. In fact, it's getting so I can't wait to shave each morning ...
