Wanted to chime in on the X120E Laptop

Brightness range is higher than expected
Handles any video I've thrown at it, including several 1080p videos
Handles light gaming very well, I found it could run things like WoW just fine.
Volume on the built-in speaker is quite high
Battery life is solid, around 5-7 hours depending on usage.
Keys are firm without being stiff, and very nice to type with

Annoyances:
Mouse scrolling by default is very clunky and borderline broken, however this can be mostly fixed by uninstalling "mouse smoothing" bloatware, disabling Edge Motion, and slightly increasing the scroll region size.
Screen brightness changes depending on what's on the screen in an extremely annoying way, this can be fixed by disabling Vari-Bright in the GPU settings.
As always with Windows 7, make sure you turn off Aero or the interface will be quite sluggish (this is Windows' fault, not Lenovo's though)

Cons:
Bottom buttons on the touchpad are right on the edge of the case, and are somewhat easy to hit accidentally.
Even tweaked, the scrolling on the touchpad feels rough compared to most laptops I've used
Brightness adjust buttons on the opposite side of the keyboard from the fn key, requiring two hands to adjust screen brightness, and places them right next to the hibernate button - so I've accidentally hibernated it several times

Other:
Eventually I'll try this out with Linux on an SSD, I'll try to update this review with any additional details then.
My usage is primarily light gaming, programming, and web surfing. I've had this guy for a little over a month and it has worked pretty well. I had an old ASUS eee 901 before this running Windows XP and comparatively this new machine is not all that much better. Everything works fine except for some serious issues with two finger scrolling on the trackpad. It is extremely jerky and misses my attempts at scrolling 1/4 times. It gets pretty frustrating considering my eee pc worked as smooth as butter and was about 4 years older. Overall it's a good computer, but I'd take a pretty good look at your other options.
