Why My Chromebook is Essential to Me Dude

Okay, the Acer Chromebook is way too expensive, at $349.00, if you just consider the hardware you get. But anyone who does any online purchasing, banking or investing MUST buy a Chromebook, and use it for ALL their financial transactions. Windows and Apple computers are way too vulnerable to malware. Have you been reading the news about how ZeuS and other sophisticated password-stealing trojans and viruses are cleaning out bank accounts? Do you want to be the next victim? If you open an email or click a link on a website, you have to assume your computer might be infected with malware under the control of someone who intends to rip you off. It has been reported that malware has already been developed which can hijack your Chromebook in a similar fashion. But the beautiful thing about the Chromebook is that it is so quick and easy to do a factory reset every night and in the morning the Chromebook is completely pure and pristine. And I am not a professional techie! You just push 2 buttons on the Chromebook and it deletes every byte in its local memory and downloads a fresh Chrome operating system by itself. No hard disk to reformat. In an hour you have a computer which is absolutely free of malware. The last time I did a factory restore of my Windows 7 computer, it took a week to download the security updates. And the last time my Windows computer got infected, the malware disabled my Trusteer Rapport security program and ran a fake dummy program which simulated that Rapport was still working. Diabolical! Microsoft Security Essentials was completely unable to even detect the malware, much less remove it. Do you want to waste a week of your time reformatting your Windows hard drive every time it gets infected? The solution is to use the Chromebook for all web financial transactions and reset it after every potential exposure to malware. You can still use your Windows or Apple computers to access the internet, just do not enter any passwords or personal data. The bad guys will not be able to steal your credit card number or the passwords to your accounts if you only enter them when using a recently reset Chromebook. As far as I can tell, the Chromebook is the best way to fend off these genius hacker criminals who are lurking on the internet these days. I invite any true tech experts to comment and tell me if and how I am wrong here. Thanks I am writing this review from an Acer Chromebook with Wi-Fi. As long as you do not buy this computer intending to replace your traditional Windows/Apple computer you will love this purchase. If you are looking into a tablet or some other smaller computer, go with the Acer Chromebook. My sister got an Apple iPad around the same time I bought the Chromebook and she has already returned her iPad and bought a Chromebook.

Like I said, if you want to use this computer to browse the internet, look up information and not do any heavy downloading, this is the computer for you. A lot of people have complained about the lack of being able to download large files, use big programs like Adobe Photoshop. I do not do a lot of heavy downloading or run any programs that require a lot of memory and RAM. If you are in the same position as me, go with the Acer Chromebook.
