Riseman Alti-Therm Solar Atomic Watch Discount 2012

This was my first G Shock purchase and I'm hooked already. I was introduced to the by a couple buddies in the military and police force. My friends and I all hike/mountain bike so I wanted a digital watch that could take punishment. I found several G Shocks that I wanted, even for casual wear! I found an awesome deal on the Riseman, which I had already wanted, and coundn't believe the price! I couldn't pass it up.

This watch does it all, minus the compass. I have to say, even if the readings of the barometer, temperature, and altitude aren't exact, they are close and can be adjusted. I love the fact that it syncs to world time nightly, sleeps in the dark when not in use, illuminates when I turn it in dimly lit areas, and all the other features! Great durability also.

The manual was a bit of a read, but by no means boring to me. Gave me the exact directions that I needed. Had it set up in no time. Couldn't get it to sync for a day or two, then checked and now it does it nightly without issue.

Bottom line, I love this watch. The ONLY complaint I have at all on this watch, and if there's a fix I've yet to find it, is the backlight. It only stays lit for all of 1 second. Which is ok if you just need to check the time (which even then can be a rush). But if you're in a low light area and want to use it's other features, like an alarm, or stopwatch, etc. you are left pushing the button over and over.

Would recommend for anyone adventurous or casual. I never take it off, it's become my companion. To date, it's not let me down.
