Great watch, average date function, sucky band Sale 2012

I find the reasons this watch has received a couple of low reviews are hilarious. Someone even gave it a low review because they dropped it and the crystal broke! Can they possibly think it's a bad watch because they dropped it and it broke? Sounds like they need a Casio G-Shock. Others claim the date window is too small. I'm not that confused about what date it is so a small date window is not a big deal for me. The watch has incredible luminosity that last all night long, a screw down crown, is simple and easy to read in most conditions, never needs a battery change and costs well under what other watches with less quality cost. The only thing I would complain about is the band. It didn't fit me very well. Either too loose or too tight so I bought the stainless steel band that is made for this watch from Citizen. That does not make the watch anything but a 5 star. I'd buy it again and between you and I, I would pay much more than they are asking. Watch - 5 stars. Really sharp looking in person. I love being able to see what time it is first thing in the a.m. and it keeps great time. Only thing is I'm now I catch myself holding my arm at wierd angles so it charges on available light or sunlight beams.

Date - 4 stars. Why make such big numbers/hands and then stick in such a painfully small date window? They should use the one from the BM8180-03E. If the date's important to you, get a different watch.

Band - 3 stars. Agree with many that it sux after wearing it for a couple weeks. Gromets on the strap (vice holes) mean fewer size options; I'm between sizes - either too tight or too loose. The big steel keeper (or whatever you call it) for the band is in the way. I already ordered a tropic-style italian rubber watch band to replace it, which - by the way - was also a hassle because the band width for this is 21mm wide. Most bands this style are 20mm or 22mm.

So, it gets 4 stars overall. Not in love, but best friends maybe. And if it makes Al Gore happy, I'm happy.
