Faucet That is easy to install and gorgeous

The Delta Leland faucet arrived quickly and looked very nice. I also ordered a stainless D sink from Amazon in preparation for a kitchen remodel. My caution to other remodelers is to keep in mind Amazon's return policy when purchasing items for a long-term project. I thought I was being efficient by ordering my sink and faucet early in the kitchen planning process. However, by the time the countertop company was able to come to take measurements several weeks later, at which time they determined that the 3 piece faucet set would not work in the allotted space, it was almost too late to return the faucet. I actually had one remaing hour to repackage the faucet and race to UPS before my time frame for an Amazon full refund expired. We've had this faucet for over a month now and are very happy with it. It it very well made. The magnet that allows the faucet head to click into place is a really great feature. It feels solidly built, the handle is really responsive, and the switch for spray/stream of water is convenient and well made - it doesn't feel like it will start to fall apart like our old one made of rubber. Very pleased! Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because for the price it seems like the soap dispenser should be made out of stainless instead of plastic, but it works just fine. I really dislike giving negative reviews, and given all the glowing reviews of this product, I'm wondering if it's just an anomaly with our kitchen or how this faucet was installed -- so take this with a grain of salt. But this is without a doubt the most frustrating faucet I've ever owned and I curse it every day I have to use it. We can't afford a new faucet, though, so I'm stuck with it. My specific complaint is that when I turn the water on, it's either freezing cold or burning hot, and it's VERY difficult to get the temperature right. This was never a problem with the faucet we had installed in that same sink just before getting this one (which was ancient and developing a leak -- thus the upgrade). Remembering that just a smidge to the left of center is perfect does no good, because if the handle is a little up or down from where "perfect" was, it reverts right back to freezing cold or burning hot within a millimeter. Arghhh!

I'm currently researching whether it's possible to easily install a scald-guard to a kitchen faucet like this one that doesn't have that feature built in, because I'm at the end of my rope. Hoping that if I can do that, I'll just be able to turn it all the way to the left for hot water to get a perfect temperature for washing dishes or washing my hands without burning myself.

On the positive end, it looks good and I really like the spray feature being built in to the faucet -- handy for rinsing fruit & veggies, etc. If you have the water on full blast and try to wash dishes with that setting, though (something hubby does) ;-p, you will have water everywhere.
