Leland 978-SSSD-DST Single Handle Pull-Down Low Price 2012

I finished installing about 2 hours ago -- I've done a few bathroom and kitchen faucets before, and know how it works, and it still took me 3 hours. I have a basin wrench, but was lucky enough to be able to use a deep 14 mm socket on a cordless drill to remove one old nut and most of another. I still had to cut one bolt, which was no surprise. Great, easy to follow directions, except that there's a discrepancy between the parts diagram and the install diagram. I phoned Delta and got a completely unhelpful "installation help" representative, who I questioned about the distinction between the "bonnet" and the "sleeve" in order to decide if they were integrated and preassembled, or not. Regardless, my "sleeve" won't lock onto the "bonnet" because there's not enough clearance once I hand-tighten the bonnet tight enough to prevent leaks, and it just kind of hangs there. No one will notice unless you tap it to make it jingle. (The customer service rep told me to use a big wrench to tighten the "bonnet," but I ignored that obviously wrong suggestion; it's clearly a "hand tighten" part. So far, it's pretty much everything I'd want in a $180 faucet (I bought it as an Amazon warehouse return, the box had been opened but none of the pieces removed from the plastic wrap). It updates the look of my dated kitchen, and the curves and flow are perfect (even with the water saver aerator still in place). The metal is light. I am enjoying the new faucet. When I ordered it I didn't think I would use the pull down sprayer but that has turned out not to be the case. It is very handy.Love the stainless steel.For some reason the water pressure is much better now.The soap dispenser works fine. There is great control of the water from the on off lever and the push button to select spray is easy to operate. I'd give this a 10 star if I could. It is great.
Delivery from Amazon was very fast. Amazon was very accomodating when I contacted them with a concern. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Replaced a relatively new Price Pfister faucet that the threads at the swivel point had stripped. The replacement with the Delta went smooth. Instructions were very good and everything included. When all is completed, remember to keep the tools and instructions that are in the box as they are needed to remove and clean the aerator screen.
