HUGE sink, and wonderful Blanco 511-652

When my kids were babies we'd put them in the sink, well at 7 years old I think my daughter would still fit in this sink! It's HUGE, great for the grill grates, and full size cookie sheets, baking trays, roasting pans and we love it! We normally use standard dish washing soap to clean it and have been very happy with how great it looks even after abuse of piled up dirty dishes. Oh, if you are entertaining you can load all the dishes in there and get to them later and they aren't all over the counters, it's pretty amazing. Would definitely suggest a removable head faucet to go with this as the height from faucet to bottom of sink (did I mention it's deep!) sometimes causes splashing. I purchased this sink to compliment my new granite countertops, and it does not disappoint! The large farmhouse style of this deep and wide sink is perfect for washing those huge baking sheets and stock pots that never fit in a divided one. The slightly speckled finish of the granite composite gives a nice matte appearance and is easy to clean. I also love having the drain at one end making a nice, smooth base in the middle for when I stack dishes or set mixing bowls down in it to avoid hand mixer splatter. The dark color is wonderful for avoiding stains and shows no scratches like porcelin coated models. This sink feels very deep, especially when under-mounted, and has tons of room. Water drains easily toward the one drain due to an unnoticable built in tilt and has the option of a matching strainer that I purchased for a more seamless look. I would highly reccommend this product and feel it would add a beautiful touch to any kitchen design. This sink is a real beauty. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Blanco would have you believe that you must order from its "online partners" but go ahead and order it here from Amazon. It is solid, makes our disposal sound quieter, and we love the drain off to the side. It's big enough to hold most all of our pans. We'll never go back to a two-bowl sink. We wanted a black sink flange but since the reviews for the Blanco model were so poor, we decided to look locally and found the Kohler Model K-R11352-C-BRZ at Home Depot to be the perfect choice.

Although the description doesn't say so, the sink shipped with clips; however, our granite countertop installer didn't use them - said they aren't strong enough, and that clips can't be used with granite anyway. Instead, they installed wooden braces that hold the sink up.
