The best-tasting protein powder around 2012

BSN's Syntha-6 Protein Powder has a reputation for two things: quality and expense. Initially, I didn't like using the Syntha-6 over Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard, Double Rich Chocolate, 5 Pound due to the expense and because of the extra carbohydrates in Syntha-6 (15 compared to 3), but ultimately I have decided I like it even more as a pre-workout drink because of the carbs. It has 5g of fiber and only 2g of sugar, so you're really only getting 10g net carbs. It does have 80 more calories than ON's powder, but I definitely feel like I get a better boost from it in my workouts than the ON. In addition to using some of the best quality ingredients, the real advantage that BSN's powder has over other is the taste. This is by far the best-tasting protein powder you can find. The chocolate flavor tastes decent when mixed with water, and great when mixed with milk. A lot of other powders I can get down, but Syntha-6 is actually enjoyable to have occasionally. As a pre-workout drink, I advise to take it between 30-45 minutes before your workout. Due to the inclusion of casein protein, I think it is fairly good as a late-night protein supplement as well.

Syntha-6 is also made with some very high quality ingredients. The protein is a combination of whey (in isolate form and as a concentrate), which is fast-absorbing, casein (slow-absorbing), milk and soy proteins (actually part of the whey), and egg protein, which is made up of the albumen of the egg.

Although many reviewer comments, including my own, mention the extra cost of Syntha-6, after just now checking its price against Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard, Double Rich Chocolate, 5 Pound I realized that it is actually cheaper right now, so please check the price per ounce of it against other powders before purchasing.Seriously people, when talking about something like body building it would be nice if alot more people would talk about results with product instead of all the different flavors it comes it. Who cares ! I want to know how works not if it comes in cookies and cream........
