Delta 9192-SS-DST Cheap Deals 2012

We just got this faucet installed a week ago in our newly renovated kitchen. I must say that the pictures fooled me into to thinking that the faucet was a simple smooth design. The photo looks like there is a reflection on the spout, but it's actually sort of a dipped design. Look at the photo of the bronze colored faucet and you can see the design better without the reflection. The handle also has a similar design so both areas are not smooth. That said, I love the design! The faucet swings around smoothly, the spout attachment comes out nicely and holds firmly in place when you put it back. The water flows directly under the faucet and not angled to the front as some are. I like that there is a button to get a heavier flow and another button for sprayer. The sprayer is great for rinsing out the sink area. Weirdly enough, I'm right handed but I do tend to turn the faucet on with my left hand and this faucet is definitely made for righty's. We have a large kitchen sink and this Delta faucet is the largest and most attractive (in my eyes)I found; very grand looking. It is less expensive on Amazon; all good things. We however needed a second kitchen faucet and I have a long standing loyalty to American Standard. They make a similar looking faucet; just not as grand looking. It was not available from Amazon so I bought it at Home Depot. To me, the American Standard faucet actually works a little better and was about $100.00 less.
This is a pretty pedestrian product, let's face it. It's designed to do something that isn't very important in the scheme of things, yet if it doesn't work, like the equipment this replaced, your life is a little less pleasurable. What can I say? It works! It is articulated so that its stream or spray can get to every corner of my double sink. It streams when you want it to and sprays when you tell it to. And it was inexpensive and delivered promptly to my door. I guess it would be nice if it came in a variety of colors (black and chrome come to mind), but it simply meets or exceeds all reasonable expectations, in my opinion.
