Great Christmas Prestent Bailey Button Boots Deals 2012

My wife really likes the Ugg brand boot. She says they are the most comfortable and soft footwear she has had.... and she has ALOT. I bought this style for Christmas as the styling looked different from the other tan ones she had. The only problem was the seam right below the button had come unattached.... which looks like it may again rip some day. Overland was very reponsive in exchanging them right away, so they get a 5 star for their customer service. I ordered 2 pairs of Cardy Uggs. One for my daughter and I. I ordered on the assumption that we should order a size smaller then what we are. I ordered a 7 for me and a 6 for my daughter. The order came and the 6 too small on my daughter and the 7 too small on me. So I sent the 6 back and my daughter will wear her size 7. I thought that maybe it was just the cardy uggs that you should order your true size. No! I went to Lord and Taylors and bought the baily button uggs and had to buy them in MY size 8. The ordering of the next size smaller certainly did not work for us. Lord and Taylor's had the same prices on Uggs as Amazon and you can see them, touch them and try them on. I purchased these boots for my 12 year old daughter and she absolutely loves them. They look great now, but I am concerned about how they will hold up. We also purchased the UGG Boot Care Kit, and my daughter faithfully applied all of the appropriate conditioners, so I am hoping it will prolong the life of the boot. My only complaint is in regard to their price. I am not sure they are worth $[...], but if they last 2 winters, I won't complain. Just returned from a week-long vacation in Sydney, Australia and discovered a very interesting fact: The "Ugg" boots with the label that reads "U", then a larger "G", then "G" are not authentic Australian and are made in China. Apparently, a man from America decided it would be wise to register the "UGG" name, seeing it could be profitable. Once he did, he even went back to the original Australian made factory owners trying to sue them for using "UGG" on their boots. Needless to say, the only original Australian-made boot must state "made in Autralia", not "Australia" and the label indicates the letters in "UGG" all the same size/font. I bought these in a shop in Sydney for $110, and they are genuine. I feel good about that. Also, the reputable shops in Sydney provided a placard at their store explaining what we Americans know as genuine "UGG" boots are not, and they are also much more expensive there.
