Big fan of these shoes for years 2012

I run the treadmill and had been using an old pair of Asics I bought 2 years ago. I suffered periodic shin splints and thought that was normal for running so much until I decided to run 6 miles with my husband on concrete! My shins killed me for days! My husband had been after me to buy a new pair of Asics but I didn't want to spend $129! Then I got on Amazon to buy something else and thought I would search for Asics and to my surprise I found the same pair my husbands wears (but for women that he paid $129, for $67! I bought them, ran in them and noticed A complete difference. If you are on the fence about these shoes buy them! They are worth every penny and the raspberry color is beautiful! Thanks honey! Within a month of getting these sneakers I got a painful red bump by my pinky toe that scared me and made me think I had a bunion. It ended up just being the way the stitching on this shoe rubbed that spot. Once I stopped wearing these shoes the bump went away. I've had other models of Asics, and many different brands of shoes...never had problems before and none since. Just FYI in case someone else experiences the same thing as me. I love Asics shoes and bit the bullet to get the new Gel-Nimbus. Everything about the shoe is so comfortable and cushioned, but they changed the lacing to angle off toward the side. They say it is more natural, but the way the lace hits across the top of my big toes is very uncomfortable. I have to keep the shoe laced too loose so it won't rub my foot. It may be just my foot, but I don't like the new design. This is my second pair of these shoes to buy. I think that they are discontinued now, so this pair was about half the price of the first ones I bought. I love the padding and these shoes helped me alleviate some pain I was having with the forefront of my feet during exercise. I'm not a runner, but I do varied types of exercise with these shoes, and I really like them. My husband just bought a pair of the GEL-Nimbus 13 because he needed the extra padding for his aching feet. The shoes came to me in perfect, new condition and in record time. I guess we're ASICS converts!!
