The SC-HC25 Compact Stereo System Sale 2012

My wife and I researched many radio/CD players for our teenaged daughter. We saw the reviews on this unit and took the chance that it really would be easy to use and fill a room with great sound. It definately delivers! For the small size of this unit, it sounds great no matter where it is. We had it in our large living room (20x22 with tall cielings) and it sounds very good. It fills our daughters smaller room with plenty of sound. For the price we paid (~$70), this items is packed with features like channel presets, auxiliary input, IPOD dock (which we dont use), treble/bass/surround, sleep timer, and a remote, which our teenager LOVES. She can place the unit away from her bed and control it from anywhere in the room. The other reviews said it was great for an office as well...I can believe this! In surround mode with the volume set low, it is amzing background music! It is just simply better sound than you would expect from a small, Panasonic stereo. It also comes with AM and FM antennas with no problem receiving a decent signal. When you read from people that they have bought TWO of a product (for home/office and kids dorm room), you have to get a little suspicious about the review, like it was posted by Amazon or Panasonic...we just wanted to add our experience so folks looking for a great stereo did not back away from this great deal!

I looked at a lot of mp3/radio/cd players and this was by far the most compact, best priced, best looking of the bunch. I bought it to use on the kitchen counter, but the sound is clear and loud enough to use elsewhere in the house. My only complaint is not a big one: when scrolling through your ipod menu, all you have to go by is the screen on the ipod, and the remote is a slow way to maneuver you music library. I usually end up taking my ipod off of the dock and scrolling manually, then reatatching it. While this is just a tiny bit annoying, it is absolutely not a deal breaker.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this unit and was able to set it up in no time at all (pretty much plug and play). I totally enjoy the sliding CD cover - it does not take up any room and operates flawlessly. But most amazing was the sound this small unit puts out. I was not looking for speakers that blew me out of the room, and this unit does not do that - but it is definitely loud enough to enjoy either a good Mozart symphony or Janis Joplin's songs! The iphone charger station is a huge plus - I had no problems docking my iphone to it.

I like the display panel - not too bright, just right. I believe the overall design is very good looking and would fit in any environment. The only downside to it is that it must be operated with AC, no battery power. For the price, this is a very nice unit with very good overall quality. I purchased it from Amazon.
