Pros -
+ Video Quality; the most important feature for my needs, this produces crystal clear images
+ Zoom Lens & Image Stabilization; great 30x optical zoom brings far away action up close and the optical Image Stabilization does a good job at keeping the image from "bouncing around"
+ Audio Quality; surprising good, surround sound pickup produces great quality audio
+ Built-In Projector; easy to use and works much better than expected in even a dimly light area
+ Scene Selections; "Auto" mode is very good, or you can select: Night, Sunrise&Sunset, Fireworks, Landscape, Portrait, Spotlight, Beach, and Snow
+ Large Internal Memory; 16gb allows for over two hours of HD recording time
+ Integrated USB Connector; allows both charging and transferring of the capture files to a PC
+ GPS Mode; shows previously shot video location on map in view screen and can also show GPS concordant on video playback
+ Shooting Modes; Movie (standard mode), Photo (takes stills) Slow Motion capture (works well, but very short), Golf Swing Analyzer (I don't golf, but did play with it and it looks helpful)
+ Smile Detection; saves a still picture when a smile is detected, I had to adjust the sensitivity a little
+ Tracking; keeps a selected person in focus, regardless where they they move in the shot (very useful in instructional videos)
Cons -
- No Light; this is a bit disappointing but the camera does have an excellent low lux mode
This is a very good camera that performs well in every shooting mode I tried it in and the advanced features make this a very viable camera for both personal and professional use. This does have a lot features but I find the integrated USB cable and built-in projector to be very useful.
