A great Helicopter for a first-time flier best deals 2012

Christmas gift for my son. We've been through many Air Hogs which all were difficult to fly for a youngster (between 6 and 8 since we've been buying them). This heli is so easy to fly it's ridiculous. You can actually steer it, and you can actually land it - on the first time you try it. It's metal instead of styrofoam and BEST OF ALL, you can buy REPLACEMENT PARTS. Usually that would signal to me that its GOING to break, but since the other brands break and can't be repaired (well, without getting extremely creative) I figured this would be a good bet. I was also concerned about the low price and what to me was "off brand" - I though this might be what they sell at the kiosk at the mall.
It actually DID BREAK on Christmas morning after only a handful of flights, but luckily, we were able to get a replacement part to fix it, which we did a few days later and it works perfectly. Given that so many parts are replaceable, I'm willing to spend a little on repairs. And given the copter is so cheap, at some point buying a replacement will be easier to stomach.
PROS:
1. So easy to fly (indoors - it says not for outdoor use).
2. USB Charger (means you can charge it without wasting batteries in the controller).
3. Replacement parts available.
4. Mostly metal construction seems durable.
5. LED lights are COOL.
6. Controller easy to use as well.
7. Did I mention how easy it is to fly? (says for 14+ but my son - now 8 - is an expert already).
CONS:
1. Did break on an early flight (older son was flying at the time, and wasn't as careful with walls, etc.).
2. Plastic pieces (tail fins, etc.) are less durable - one did break but doesn't affect flight (superglued it back).
3. Only what other reviews have said, which we've not had time enough to experience - it does caution about over-charging and over-discharging the battery which others have said shortens life.
4. Only 6-7 minutes of flying time for 40-50 minutes of charging. That ratio could be better. I don't mind the short flying time, but the charging time could be a lot less to make reflights more convenient.
