Great Headphone for DAW producing, Reason, Ableton For 2012

Gooooood lord. These sound so good they make me want to neglect everything else in my life just to listen to music. Remember when you first discovered how much music meant to you? These headphones will help you relive those precious moments. Hyperbole aside, I really do highly recommend these to any and everyone who wants a beautiful audio experience. I'm admittedly not a techie geek and mostly use these to listen to my iPod, but if they sound so good I'm threatening to smack strangers based on iPod usage, you know they're gonna be awesome in combination with any other advanced medium. I've yet to use them with my turntable, but that day will come soon enough.

I began researching headphones in order to block out noise while studying in the small house I share with three other people, and after being turned off by the humming of noise reduction headphones, I decided on a quality pair of headphones instead. I did research many other brands, and was impressed with the sound of a few others I was able to check out in person, but the reviews coupled with the price (it's gone up a bit since I bought mine a few months ago) made me cross my fingers and hope for the best with these ones. I could not be happier. From rock to punk to reggae to blues to classical to hip-hop to folk, these headphones allow me to hear new aspects of the music I've been listening to for years on end, and have given me a new appreciation for balanced sound. They sound so good I'm actually writing my first product review after years of silent Amazon purchases, because I think people should know how amazing this product is. I want to stockpile a supply of these in a fallout shelter.

Oh, and I have a large head, and they are tight, but do stretch.

PS, what they say about the burn-in period is true. While these sound really great out of the box, they do get better with age. After listening to a friends 'Beats by Dr. Dre' made by monster, I decided that I needed a quality set of headphones. Although the Beats sound was great, the bass seemed a little over the top. It is to be expected considering the style of music that they were most likely designed around. The $300 price tag was a definite no-go for this guy. I have been DJing amateurly for about eight years and spin mostly Drum and Bass and some Hip-Hop from time to time. I personally listen to a wide variety of music, from Sinatra to Death metal, Country to glitch and continue to explore all of music. I am learning to produce with Reason 5 and that was also one of the main factors that pushed me to invest in a nice set of cans. Here is my review set up in a pros/cons format.
