Bang for the buck TV TCL L40FHDF12TA 40-Inch Sale

I remember reading a customer review for this tv where he had recieved two DOA tvs back to back from Amazon.....
I am not overly perturbed by this. Amazon or UPS is the one footing the bill to ship around broken tv's.
It comes with a two year warranty as well, not too worried about it.

The tv out of the box looked exactly as advertised with the correct amount and types of hookups.
The glass base is nice and attached simply and easily and has a nice heft to it.
It looks like a really decent tv, the form does fit the function.

A thought/opinion about the quality of this tv: I havn't seen it in operation yet but the outward appearance of it seems like any other normal tv. It's not an objet d'art, nor is it meant to be, yet it will suit my workaday aesthetic just fine. Besides, i think the upper price ranged tvs look a little gaudy and pretentious anyways. This tv is more in keeping with my small apartment and budget.

Talking about how 'pretty' a tv is reminds me of the fancy wood cabinet floor model tv we had when I was a kid.
If your worried about that with a tv like this for this little money then you may want to rethink having champagne tastes and a beer budget.

My experience so far: some light reading shopping around, order tv, recieve a broken tv, return/refund process, UPS picks up broken tv.
The heavy lifting I've done so far: nil. well, except for unboxing and reboxing, meh.
Total time invested: a few hours. ON MY BUTT. CRUISING THE INTERWEBS.

Just have to put a little trust in Amazon, my own judgement, the other customer reviews, and the process.
If I don't like the working tv I eventually will recieve, then I will return it for a refund.

I might yet get a nice bang for the buck tv. I'll keep ya posted.
