this vacuum has really strong suction, more powerful

Like most other people mentioned, this vacuum has really strong suction, more powerful than most of those $100-$200, and yes, it comes with a side effect, really noisy.
I'm not being bother by the noise because I think vacuums are suppose to be this way, and even if for some quieter ones, it's not that much difference, so better get a louder
but stronger vacuum.
As far as the accessory goes, only after I got it, I realized what people mean by it needs to attach the hose seperately. I really don't mind that, and in fact I think it's
a good thing. Basically, you have to unplug the hose and plug to the accessory, not like some other models you can plug it to the side when you don't use it. Those other models
will lose the suction by that design, so it's better if you plug it yourself each time. It only takes about a few seconds anyway.
It does blow the air in front of the vacuum, so it's ok on carpet, but might be really bad for bare floor.
Bottom line: it really cleans the carpet, and that's what counts. My old vac was in need of replacement: it was a who-knows how old Kenmore that was a hand-me-down from my brother during his apartment days and God knows how he handled it (if at all). The suction was starting to die to a slow death on the motor...at least that's what we believe to have happened. Anyway! The Kenmore was dying and I was in need of a vacuum that wasn't very huge and heavy (like the Kenmore) but could also have the power to clean carpets (we own a cat and the majority of our own apartment is, you guessed it, carpet). This Dirt Devil got good reviews on its ability to work well with carpeting but was small enough for apartment owners so...I gave it a shot and purchased it.

You will not believe how IMPRESSED I was when we used it. We had to empty the container twice it filled with so much dirt and dust! That's how much our old Kenmore was missing in our carpet! Our apartment floors looked so clean, that it had actually been vacuumed properly.

This little guy can do the job of a Bought for a small apartment, didn't want a huge vacuum to take up space.

Pros:
Space saving size, simple, effective design. Not a lot of pieces to break or get lost. Does the job and cleans well.

Cons:
A little narrower than I'd anticipated, leads to a few more passes to cover an area.
Hose attachment is not very long and doesn't extend easily, don't buy this if you want to use the hose a lot.
It's also very loud, as far as vacuums go. This has a very high pitch compared to others I've used.

Overall I'm happy with it, but if I had a larger apartment I might opt for a bigger vacuum with a better hose.
