This product is simply the best I've ever owned, and I have had three from the most expensive to the chain-pharmacy-bought cheapest. Its design is genius, though its engineering may be the reason it took a company that actually designed shavers for decades to actually produce this innovation. All other nose trimmers are locked into a tube-shaped design with a spinning circle of blades entrusted with the task of trimming your nose hairs. The problem with that design is that there is nothing holding the hair in place when the blade hits it (as on an electric razor which first captures the hair), so the hair can bend away from the blade. Depending only on speed and sharpness of the blade is the deficiency of an architecture that is hit and miss, and, if you push too hard to "help" catch the hair, you can cause a pinch of skin. Trying to trim ear hairs with a tube-shape is useless (you can actually hear when it cuts hair, which is rare). Eyebrows are not even on the menu. Norelco has simply reproduced a miniature--no, make that micro-shaver and placed it on the side of the thin, slanted tube. I have never trimmed my nose hairs with such efficiency and comfort. Ear hairs are also amazingly cut on the first pass. And the attachment for eyebrows makes the results as good--and as simple--as when my barber does it for me. I immediately bought two more for family members. Two year warranty. All literature indicates it's made in the USA.Almost a year ago, I bought a Phillips Norelco body groomer, BG2040, I loved it out of the gate. In early May, 2012, it stopped working, (only to find out later, the charging unit had a short in it). Knowing I had registered the groomer on-line shortly after purchasing, I went to the P/N website in order to contact them about the problem. The agent on the other end of the phone understood my problem and started asking for my name, address, phone number, etc., and then said a brand new replacement was being shipped to me at no cost whatsoever. Imagine my surprise, I had expected a fight for fixing or replacing the unit because of the way one is treated by most other on-line stores. Not so the case with P/N, they stood up for their product, I hadn't realized their items came with a full 2 year warrantee. The replacement arrived in 9 days. Feeling very excited about getting a new razor, I purchased a nose and ear hair trimmer from P/N, NT9110. Just like the groomer, it operates quietly and smoothly and has an even better warrantee than the groomer! Go figure, instead of a 2 year warrantee, the new one was extended by 6 months which meant the trimmer now has a 2 1/2 year warrantee. Yup, i'm very happy with being treated like a person should be treated after encountering a problem with any item under warrantee. Remember, always register your new item on-line or by sending the registration card that comes with it. I can strongly recommend P/N for the items I purchased, but I have to believe they would stand behind their other products the same as I just explained. Thank you Phillips Norelco!
