Next, decide if you want the faucet handle on the left side or right

The installation of this faucet was pretty easy and the simple design makes it a great fit for anything from a kitchen sink to a basement bar. I really like the shape of the handle lever because it's just very easy to grab or push it since its slightly curved. The double spray patterns are nice and can be use across a pretty wide range of pressures. You don't have to have it on full blast to get the shower spray to work. The pause feature is nice for filling pots on the edge of the counter especially when you have other things in the sink or only have one free hand to work the faucet. During installation it's pretty straight forward. By just remember to swap the supply line if you mount the handle on the left. The supply lines are extra long braided flexible hoses which should be long enough to reach most connections without having to purchase extra supply lines. You can mont the faucet on either a single hole sink or use the supplied plate for a 3-hole mount. It's best to have a helper so you can crank down when tightening the faucet. If you don't it can be a bit wobbly since it is so tall. Also you may need to play with the position of the counter weight a bit. Mounting it too low provides not enough balance to make it retract smoothly. Mount it too high and the pull out might not reach as far as you need it. Overall I really like the design and function of this faucet and would recommend it to anyone.I rarely give a 5 Star rating to any product because that essentially means it is nearly perfect, and that's rare. But I was able to give the Moen 7594C Arbor One-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet in Chrome, the coveted 5 Star rating. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such a beautiful, high quality and well designed product still available for a reasonable (though not cheap) price. Oh yea, did I mention it's BEAUTIFUL? It's like a work of art in my otherwise very outdated kitchen. The high polish chrome finish is flawless and everything has a very ergonomic and tactile feel to it during use. I know it sounds like I'm talking about a German sedan, and not a kitchen faucet, but I really like this thing... Installation wasn't too bad, even though I was a bit out of practice on the plumbing handyman stuff. I have a pretty standard stainless steel sink and a very old two handle faucet probably from the 1980's. I shut of the cold water supply in the basement and the hot water supply at the water heater and let the faucets in the laundry tub drain to get the water out of the pipes. I knew from previous experience that the shutoffs under the sinks didn't fully shutoff so it's best to do it from the source. (I wasn't motivated enough to actually REPLACE the shutoffs at this time.) I disconnected the supply lines and removed the old faucet. It took a bit of cleanup to get all the gunk from around the sink where the old faucet was. Some WD-40 and then Simple Green degreaser helped with the cleanup. The nice chromed sink plate and gasket from the Moen kit covered the area nicely, though. Next, decide if you want the faucet handle on the left side or right. (I love that I have a choice!) I hold stuff with my left hand so I went with the handle on the right. Next, I fished the hoses of the Moen faucet through the sink plate and gasket on top, and depending on the thickness of my sink I had the choice to add the 3 hole spacer mounting plate under the sink (I needed it because the thickness of my sink was less than 1/2 in.). Then place and align the white ring gasket over the threaded pipe as directed (make sure it lines up with the slot in the faucet). Next, I put on the big U (or W?) shaped washer, and then the brass nut, and tightened everything up with the thoughtfully included plastic socket wrench. (It's nice touches like including this specialized socket wrench that sets this product apart from lesser models. It's like an 8 in. long, 6 point socket that fits up to the nut from below so you don't have to deal with trying to tighten the nut from the side, which is nearly impossible given how tight the quarters are under most people's sinks.) Lastly, screw on the black plastic nut to the bottom of the threaded pipe and hand tighten snugly.
