I have two of these heaters (one year old now). They work good. Remote is a nice option. Noise of the heater running is pretty quite. Beeping when pushing buttons is annoyingly loud when trying to be quite though, will wake people.
I've seen bad reviews on this heater and other heaters that are misdirected. First off, it's important to understand that electric heaters are NOT efficient. They will spin your electric meter and easily add $20+ a month to your bill. I find that their performance really suffers if you have a drafty room or poorly insulated room.
Most all of them will draw very very close to 15 amps which is all a typical house circuit is rated for. You can NOT use the circuit it is on for anything else. A circuit will often be 6 of your wall plugs, so you need to determine which ones are on that circuit and not use them for anything with the heater on. Do this before buying a heater because you could find out you can't run it where you have planned. A lamp or alarm clock could share the circuit but not a TV or Computer for example.
Also it is VERY important to make sure the house circuit is in good shape because you will be loading it to it's full potential for extended periods of time. If your wiring has an issue you will find it with an electric heater! A likely place for trouble is at the wall plug, if the terminals are old and have become tarnished or loose or sloppily installed they will become hot and be a fire hazard. Best bet is to have an electrician inspect the house circuit and preventively replace the wall plug that it will be attached to before use.
