DEWALT-DWP849-7-Inch-Variable-Polisher

Needed something for a small remodeling project, this was perfect. I used it to cut the baseboard trim exactly where I needed to in order to put in a built-in cabinet. I also used to to remove tile from a small area including the grout and thin set. I just started using the sander to remove paint off a chair that I am re-finishing. And the last project was to remove 4 tiles in the middle of the kitchen to fix a foundation leak (that alone saved us more than $100 bucks) by doing some of the prep work before the contractor came in to drill into the foundation to fix the leak. This one small project paid for the tool itself.

Price and quality
One of the most versatile tools I own and very reasonably priced compared to some of the other oscillating tools out there. I got this one to replace a cheap one bought at a discount hardware store. There is little vibration and much easier to change out the blades on this machine than the cheap one we had purchased. Also, the blades and sanders hold up much better than the cheap one, with less of a chance of bending the blade right off (happened using the cheap one). Paying over $150 was not in the budget and buy a cheap one for less than $60 was not going to get me something that could last through these projects. Priced around $100, this was the better deal.

What I liked most?
I especially like cutting out squares in the drywall and the cabinet backings to pull the cabling / wiring through for the surround sound. Much less strain on your wrist than using a saw or drywall saw, that's makes this worth it. I have to say, this is also my favorite crafter's tool. Ladies this is the most versatile tool you can own if you like working with wood, drywall, tile, etc doing your own projects at home. It really gets into the groves when sanding making re-finishing a smaller object easy. I really like the fact that is easy to handle, even for a lady with small to medium size hands, never felt bulk and always felt like I was in control.
