This is the EXACT same tool Harbor Freight sells for $50. The differences are- -Name, color, labeling, and warranty. HF's version has a 90 day warranty, and the Genesis is 2 years. Also, the HF one comes with a case, the Genesis does not. BUT u save money and get a better warranty with the Genesis! Small trade off for not coming with a case. ;) Ive only had a chance to cut a few small door trim pieces to test it out and it works...so far. Feels almost as nice as the Fein I used to use at work doing windows and doors. Not as solid as the Fein, but the cuts are comparable. If it holds up a few months, it will have been worth it. Also, it comes with an adapter that allows you to use Bosch, Fein, etc blades. Recommended to home DIYers where it will get minimal use. If youre a contractor out there trying to make a living...save up and get the Fein. If thats too rich for ya, get the Bosch...MAYBE the Dremel. The Genesis, I dont think, will handle heavy daily use for very long. As far as noise goes, the Fein I used at work was just as loud, and vibrated your hands just as much as the Genesis. The Genesis may even be quieter than the Fein. 4 stars out of 5 only because Ive been lucky enough to use the Fein before this one. Snag one! And get busy! =) UPDATE...Used this tool all day yesterday for plastic, wood, door trim, and copious amounts of sheetrock using both the half moon, and plunge blades. Both blades are still in excellent condition even tho I nicked a few brad nails. The tool itself worked wonderfully also. Plenty of power and torque, it did not bog down even on the hardwoods. Im gonna go out on a limb here and say it already paid for itself. Very happy with this purchase. If it last at least a year, I will be even happier.After I removed a bathroom tile floor, I needed to get the remaining thinset up. I was using my "painters tool" and a hammer. I kept whacking my thumb knuckle more than hitting the painter tool. I figured I'd try the "Genisis" with the scraper blade. Worked like a charm. Removed all the remaining thinset without a busted knuckle. It did wear down the scraper blade but got the job done in short order. Worth twice what I paid.
