I'm a big fan of the Gillette Fusion ProGlide and have a subscribe and save subscription to order replacement blades. I keep a clean shave on my neck and cheeks while keeping a trimmed beard. I thought this would really allow me to have one device which would allow me to solve all my shaving needs. Although technically it does, it doesn't do this without a very awkward approach. Unlike some devices which are dual ended to allow a quick flip to switch ends, the Gillette Fusion ProFlide 3 In 1 Styler requires that you attach add-ins to the end. This means that you have your razor attached to a razor holder which is attached to the main styler unit. It feel very long at this point and not very secure, as it somewhat wobbles with use. Once you want to do trimming, you need to remove the razor and find a place to store it (it doesn't really fit in the holder). If you don't want the closest trim, you then need to take the one of two guards and attach this to the styler. Again, it technically works, but is such a burden that I've given up and just use my regular ProGlide razor and this to keep my sideburns aligned. rarely give 5 out of 5 stars, but I think Gillette has a very good, innovative product here. I've been using their Mach III turbo razor for some time now and a Norelco styler for my goatee and 'burns. Norelco has made quality shavers and trimmers for many many years, And the Gillette Mach III is a very good razor. But I have to tell you the Fusion ProGlide will shave you smooth as a baby's bottom, I kid you not. The styler part uses Braun technology, and works very well. The three guards produce very good results with minimal getting used to. The handle is thick because it incorporates the battery and trimmer motor, so this part will take a bit of getting used to for shaving if you're used to a thin handled non powered shaver. Some have been claiming to have problems with theirs, such as the trimmer motor giving out, easily broken guards. I will admit the guard hooks and latch seem a bit thin, but as long as you're not ham-fisted with them they hold up well, and Gillette is always good about replacing a defective or broken item if you tell them, they've been good to me. At 14 bucks at Amazon online online and 18 bucks in-store at Walmart, you can't go wrong to give it a try. And yes, it will make an excellent gift or stocking stuffer. It's actually fun to use. I've had mine for two months and the novelty hasn't worn off, lol. The downside? The blades. They are expensive like the Mach III's blades, but they last a while, at least they do for me. Don't know if I'm quite ready to put away my Norelco trimmer yet, but it's not getting used much now. A solid 4 stars. Good job, Gillette.
