The SCCPVL600R Cook' N Carry 6-Quart On Sale 2012

I have never been a big fan of Crock-Pots. They don't get hot enough, they don't maintain heat well, they don't travel well and their traditional round shape limits what can be cooked in it. None of these things apply to this model. I am a convert! This Crock-Pot got HOT quickly and held the heat evenly. When I removed the lid it issued steam (from the low setting) and quickly reheated. The oval shape means that it holds whole roasts without having to cram it in! I cooked a 5lb roast, 2 lbs of potatoes, 1 onion and 1 lb of carrots in one go with room to spare.
This Crock-Pot would probably make a decent sous vide cooker and is almost a good substitute for a pressure cooker.
I will be using this Crock-Pot A LOT. No joke. This crock pot has changed my life. As a single guy in his 20s there is not better kitchen tool than this crock pot. Recipes for crock pots are everywhere and they're the easiest thing in the world, most go something like this:

1. Buy ingredients
2. Put all ingredients into crock pot
3. Turn on crock pot

That's about it. In a matter of a few hours you have delicious food. It saves me money and I eat better and more healthy since I know what's going into every meal. This crock pot is large enough that I can feed myself and a bunch of friends, if need be. The fact that the lid can latch on tightly and make meals portable is just icing on the cake. This crock pot is amazing and I recommend everyone have one. After having a 4 quart crock for so long, I absolutely love this 6 quart crock. I can easily cook a chicken, pot roast, or pork loin and have enough for left overs. The color in the picture matches the color of the product well. I love the clamp for the lid, many a spilled crock in my time during travel, will happen no more. The crock retains heat for a long time after heating element is off, so you don't have to worry about your food getting cold.

I got the cooker delivered to me and just put the inner pot and lid in the dish washer before I used it. Threw in a 5 pound pork butt with all the seasoning and slow cooked it for 6 1/2 hours, it was amazingly good and easy to handle with all the room I had in the pot. It replaced the other round 4 quart cooker I had and didn't have the same problem with not enough room to cook big items like this.
